Been wild and been crazy. Lov’n life and had not much time doing the blog but while I was away, a couple of things happened:

  • McCain selected Sarah Palin in hopes to grab Hillary’s vote (how insulting to Hillary’s support base)
  • Gustav is making it’s way to the gulf states, it may be an issue for us Austinites as well.
  • Would like the US economy to stabilize? Vote Democrat!
  • I am a huge CU fan. CU is where Keyla and I feel deeply in love with each other. Never gave CSU much thought, I guess I should.
  • Thought the movie mode in the Nikon D90 was cool but the rumor specs of my 5D replacement looks amazing! HD movie mode…
  • Chevy Volt actually got me excited about possibly buying domestic for the first time (huge Nissan, Toyota and Honda lover) but that dash has got to go!

Well that is all folks.

The truth is out there

There is a great site called Brave New Films that helps viewers discover the nuggets of truth in media.  Yet another reason why people should avoid Fox News like the plague.

So sad - A leader out of touch with his people…

I am still stun, or should I be, that during Mr. Bush’s response on how the US is not entering a recession, he was stun to discover that a gallon of gas was going into the four dollar range. That surprised look on our president’s face not only validate how wrong his statement about the current affairs of our economy was but also how detached he is from the realities his country is facing. So caught up in foreign affairs, Mr. Bush acted like a man returning from a very long vacation. That ‘look’ immediately created a thought bubble:

Crap! The stimulus package is not going to work!

Let’s not even get into the discussion of the cost of milk, I already talked about that one. This is what happens when a nation is led by a person of reactionary belief and narrowly focused agendas. This is why the country has given up all hope on the current administration. This is why we have such a strong turn out by voters wanting change. We want change, we need change, and change must happen.  I am looking forward to voting today and in November.  It is times like these that I love to be American.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No it’s a super-delegate!

It seems with the race so close on the demo side of politics, the super-delegates will need to step in and help us decide who will run in the general election. Up to now, I did not know what a super-delegate was. Kind of interesting that there is a group of people that is to maintain objectivity and be an extension of the public that is so far has been evenly divided. They represent the final vote in the selection process of a candidate. Makes you wonder how long before the public starts to attack these delegates in hopes to swing their support. If you are so incline, here is the list of super-delegates that have not committed to any of the candidates running. This might help the process along.

From caucuses to super-delegates, this has been by far the most enjoyable political education in recent years. Though I voted every year, I wonder why I was never this invested before. I guess I never been so desperate to kick out the guy that is currently holding a public office before.

Let Huckabee win said the McCain group

On NPR there is an interesting news short about how McCain supporters voted for Huckabee to prevent Mitt Romney from wining the state of West Virginia.  You gotta love politics, it is very much like chess. Give up your Bishop to move your Knight.  This is definitely going to be fun to watch tonight.
