Virtual meets Reality

So there is an article over on BBC about a teen stealing thousands of dollars of furniture from other gamers to furnish his apartment. Ok…thousands of dollars of REAL money was brokered and now the cops are involved. Wow to equate virtual material goods as solid objects of ownership and pride and to spend hard working money on such goods is still above my understanding.

I want it now! Blow up anyone around the world within two hours.

Yep, you gotta love our need for instant gratification. The Gov just dropped a cool $100 million on a project to hit any target on this planet in under two hours. From the road…on the phone!

In prep for my road trip with Keyla to visit my parents, I will post to this blog from my phone while on the road (not driving that is). To give those who are interested, here is the path from the entrance of my neighborhood to my parents. We will be leaving before dawn and hope to arrive before sunset. I will also be carrying my main camera so be prepare for pics on the photo site. I should go, I need to pack and sleep. Only 861 miles to go!

No walking path by the river

Here is a picture I took of the San Gabriel Park in Georgetown from my phone. As you can see, you cannot walk into the park as it is under the usually calm San Gabriel river. Where was my 5d in all this? It was with me, just not the battery I was charging the night before. d’oh! Oh well, the camera on the phone is not that bad and is useful for events such as this. I wish I could post this directly to the blog so that images are updated as fast as my txt msgs are but for now, Verizon seems to have a process in place that still makes it easy, though a bit slower.
